A Message from the Principal

Hello Hopkins Families,

We are so proud to share that Hopkins was rated a 4.5 out of 5 stars by the state of Ohio. We received our highest marks in Achievement and Gap Closing. Our staff and students work hard everyday, and the partnerships with our Hopkins Families set up our students for success and it is amazing to see that reflected in our assessment scores.

There is a busy week here at Hopkins. Tuesday night this week is the first night of fall conferences on October 6th. Please check with your child’s homeroom teacher if you have any questions about your scheduled conference time. We hope that all families are able to attend and learn about their child’s progress at this point in the year. 

We want to remind everyone that we are participating in National Walk to School Day on October 7th. See the flyer for details and we hope to see many of you there! We will notify you via an Infinite Campus message by 7am on Wednesday morning if we need to cancel due to poor weather.

The PTA Fall Fest is scheduled for Thursday 10/8 from 6-8 at the Farm Park. There is a cost to this event, so please check your email from PTA for the details. The students typically love this fun event and the proceeds help support our students and staff throughout the year.

There is no school on Friday October 9th, and we hope that we will have great weather and you can all enjoy some extra time with your family. 

On Monday October 12th our students will participate in our first emergency lockdown/evacuation drill. During the upcoming week, teachers will be discussing these procedures as well as why they might be used in an age appropriate way. If you have any questions about our ALICE procedures (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and/or Evacuate) please let me know.
