Hello Hopkins Families!
Happy Halloween! We are excited for all the festivities today and are so grateful the weather looks like it will hold out for our parade at 1:30. As a reminder,
HERE is information about parking, picking up pumpkins, and watching the parade.
Thursday, November 6th is the Mentor Family Resource Center Open House event from 6:00-7:30 PM located at 6477 Center Street (south of the main building). This is a great opportunity to check out the many resources available to support families in need of food, clothing, or other essentials.
The week of November 10th, our fourth grade students will take the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS). This is a nationally normed achievement test that measures a student’s level of skill, accomplishment, or knowledge in specific areas in order to assist with educational planning and identification for future gifted services. Results will be mailed to families in December.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 20 – Mentor High School Fine Arts Center at 6:00 p.m. – All District Parents are invited to attend a presentation on online safety for children. The event is for adults only. The District will welcome a nationally recognized speaker, Jesse Weinberger, who specializes in internet and social media safety who is also presenting to students at our secondary schools.
I hope you all enjoy your weekend and have a safe and happy Halloween!
